Bridesmaid Dresses

Bridesmaid dresses-this is some serious stress, and maybe the part of the wedding that I actually don't like.  Originally, I wanted all the girls to pick gray dresses, in all different styles; then I thought the girls should all be the same, and NOW I think they should be all different styles, and NOW all different colors too.  I don't know what I want! My biggest concern is that the girls are comfortable, and I think the only way to do that, is to let the girls pick what they want-obviously with a little direction from me. This wedding is far from traditional, but let's hope it doesn't look like a straight circus! I will say-I would at least have very pretty clowns as bridesmaids. :)

Buy your supplies: beverage napkins (Vanity Fair), ink pad (color box from Michaels), stamp of choice (etsy)

Then start stamping where you see fit.

I think Damon and I made close to 500 of these the other night.

D.I.Y. Shabby-Chic Lace-Covered Mason Jar Lanterns

WOW, that title is a mouthful. I have changed these poor things a million times over, but I think I am FINALLY happy.

Step One: Lace-Covered Mason Jar Tutorial
Step Two: Tutorial on hanging the jars
Step Three:

Supplies:
Twine: CraftDesigner (Jute)
Glue: QuickHold Contact Adhesive (Craft)

Apologies on the photo quality
1. Start the twine at the back of your jar. Wrap the twine over the beginning portion of your twine to anchor it in place. Some tutorials say to glue the twine in place when you begin-it's not necessary.

2. Continue to wrap the twine around the outside of the jar until you reach your desired thickness.

3. Glue the last strip of twine in the back.

4. Add a ribbon.

D.I.Y. Sheet Music Pennants

So you could head over to BHLDN and buy your own set of pennants (they would be super small, run you close to $10.00) OR you could just go and make them yourself. A few weeks ago my mom and I headed to an auction in Lebanon and scooped up a box full of old sheet music for $3.00. I wasn't quite sure  what I was going to do with them, but assumed it would be for an arts and craft project-not related to the wedding-I was wrong. I once again crafted up another item that we need to mix in with the wedding decor.

Here is what you need:

Sheet Music
Scissors
String

1. Collect your supplies.

2. Cut triangles out of the sheet music. My sheets of music were quite large so I managed to make two pennants out of each sheet. (Make a triangle pattern, the same way you were taught in grade school. Fold the paper in half-It will make your triangle sides even.)

3. Hole punch each corner.

4. String each triangle.

5. Hang and enjoy.

Flower Girls

Here is a sneak peak into the flower girl's attire. I want to give D.I.Y. instructions on how I made it, but I don't want to go and give EVERYTHING away. I will be sure to fill everyone in after the wedding...
